A visit-workshop to discover another facet of Mount Beuvray and its territory.
In the course of the exhibition, come and discover a portrait by several hands, the result of the compulsion of disciplines as varied as archaeology, geography and photography. The Beuvray territory is revealed as shaped by thousands of years of human occupation and illustrates the striking acceleration of exploitation techniques during the second half of the 20th century.
Following the visit, we propose an introduction to the archaeological approach based on metal objects found during prospecting in the vicinity of Beuvray. Will you be able to recognise them and identify their function? What do these objects tell us about the activities that took place on these sites?
Pairs of unpublished photographs, old and recent, close this workshop-visit. With your new eye on the landscape, what information can you draw from them? What are your feelings about the evolution of the landscape?
