The archaeological and natural site

Self-guided tour

The archaeological and natural site is open to visitors free of charge all year round, 24 hours a day.

From 11 July to 23 August 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., motorised vehicles and bicycles are prohibited from entering the archaeological site.
You must therefore park your vehicle in the museum car park at the foot of the site. You can then access the site either on foot or by free shuttle bus.

The rest of the year, or between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. in summer, you can access the site with your vehicle.

The site and the entire Grand Site de France de Bibracte-Morvan des Sommets area are also a magnificent place for walks and hikes.
Here you will find ideas for circuits of varying lengths, suitable for all levels of walking ability.
